Client profile :
Male at a small international high school in Asia with limited AP offerings. 3.7 GPA, 1400 SAT, 3 AP courses completed. Academic performance was solid but not exceptional relative to the competitive applicant pool across the states. Extracurricular profile was average and was not developed in depth. No major awards or formal leadership distinctions.
Changes made through consulting :
During the COVID-19, the student identified vulnerabilities facing small businesses. Our consultants guided the student in designing collaborative product strategies between small businesses and larger corporations. The student conducted market research, organized marketing campaigns, and facilitated production planning, contributing to more than 1,000 commercial transactions.
Within the school, the student also identified reading comprehension challenges among peers and developed a structured intervention program, later approved by teachers and implemented as a supplemental class. These initiatives were documented carefully and framed within a broader leadership and problem-solving narrative aligned with business school expectations.
Admissions officers cited the student’s initiative during a crisis and practical execution skills as the decisive elements in their admission decision.
Outcome :
Accepted at University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Columbia, NYU Stern, Duke, and Michigan (Ross).
